Welcome

Life is a journey, not merely a destination. Our travels across Canada and the USA reflect our dreams, we embrace the adventure itself, savouring each moment with no fixed endpoint in mind. Join us as we celebrate the beauty and diversity of these two great countries.

About Us

We are on the road

With the sun shining brightly we awoke on the 26th of June 2024, planning on leaving at 9:00, hoping for 8:00, but not actually hitting the road until 10:00.  All the planning, checklists, packing, weight distribution and purchases were going to be put to the test. Neither of us are great at failing and weren’t sure how we would feel if we did, and it is only day one and we were leaving an hour later than scheduled. Well, that was our first test, leaving schedules behind, remembering that they were just a guideline – we failed miserably, we were both so upset with ourselves.

Our journey began with two dogs, a stuffed animal, and all the essentials we thought we needed in tow. Our first destination was Confederation Bridge, where we bid farewell to our beloved Island. Standing at the edge, gazing out across the strait, we pondered what the next 15 months had in store for us. With a deep breath, we shifted the truck into gear and embarked on our adventure.

As of today, the 06th of January 2025 we have been on the road for more than six months, we have been to 14 of the 32 NHL Arenas, travelled through every province and territory in Canada, visited Alaska and have visited 17 of the lower 48 states. We are staying in the south for the winter, adding 4 states to our list and then heading north, trying to get the rest of the states in so we can be home shortly after the arrival of our new granddaughter the end of April.

Join us as we share our travels, the people we meet, the places we have seen and the journey itself. Find out who we are and why we are doing this through our blog. We have had our ups and downs but it is an adventure. We look forward to hearing from you, sharing your stories and suggestions. Feel free to contact us with questions or suggestions, it's all part of the adventure.
