Hockey is an integral part of life for most Canadian kids. If you didn't play the sport, you likely watched a game or two in your lifetime. It's almost a rite of passage to have a connection to hockey in Canada. When we were planning this journey, we reminisced about our childhoods spent watching Hockey Night in Canada every Saturday night, with "Peter Puck" entertaining us between periods. It was a signal for bedtime when we were young. We felt that it would be a missed opportunity if we didn't include visiting every NHL arena on our list of goals.
Ross roots for Toronto, while I am a Montreal fan, so we are always at odds during hockey season. However, we both share a passion for the World Juniors starting on Boxing Day and cheering for Team Canada during the Olympics. We made sure to pack our Team Canada jerseys along with our individual team jerseys. We thought it would be a fun idea to capture photos of us in front of each NHL arena wearing our respective jerseys. The following is our story, narrated through these photos:
